ON JUNE 26, along with the full moon in Capricorn, there was also a full Lunar eclipse. All full moons and all eclipses–both Solar and Lunar–are intense. Lunar eclipses are all about letting go and their range of influence is about six months. They foretell of a very focused celestial mandate to help you let go of or release what is no longer necessary in your life. What usually gets released is old emotional baggage you may or may not have been aware that you were carrying around. Compounding the intensity of this Lunar eclipse, the full moon in Capricorn was also in the same sign and degree as the planet of intensity, release and letting go–Pluto. Phrases like “free fall” “go with the flow” and “just let go” are the best mantras–guides for this profound, transformational point in time. The individual forecasts follow:

ARIES (March 21 – April 20) You may be dealing with frustration right now. “What do I have to be frustrated about?” you may ask. A lot, actually, especially the “little things.” Please remember, you’re on a new learning curve–although the language and customs of your “old world” are still valid, you must become fluent and comfortable with the language and customs of what is rapidly becoming a “new world.” Be patient and kind to yourself as you become comfortable with the discomfort of change.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 20) Your perception of the world is changing fast and you’ll find yourself wanting to hold on to what you perceive as stable. Please don’t–your new view is more expansive and enriching–you’ll grow to trust it in time. Schedule consistent “quality” time for yourself–massages, manicures, pedicures and the like and keep to that schedule–you’ll reconnect with your strong emotional foundation and you’ll enjoy the change of scenery so much more.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20) You were born with the gift of charm with a capital “C” and you can be very persuasive. This is a perfect time to put that powerful gift to use–it will help you as you put the finishing touches on your latest endeavor. Assistance will come from the most unexpected sources–accept and use it with gratitude, responsibility and respect.

CANCER (June 21 – July 20) When Jung “broke up” with Freud, he had to learn to be himself in an entirely new way, so he spent many months getting back to his essence by playing with his children. It’s important that you learn to express yourself in a new, positive, honoring way. I encourage you to do so by entering into the world of play–a new hobby, revive an old dream, visit the new Harry Potter theme park. You’ll benefit a great deal from what you learn about yourself and you’ll have a good time in the process.

LEO (July 21 – August 22) You’re very strong-willed–sometimes that’s a good thing and at other times, not so much. If you find you’re having to assert your independence, you may be trying too hard–you’re either independent or you’re not. Ask yourself who needs to be convinced that you’re in charge–you or them. If you trust yourself to lead, keep marching–others will love your confident strut and fall into formation behind you.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22) Like Capricorns, you were born an adult–very serious and observant. These very fine attributes were especially important tools during the last three years. Now, however, these excellent traits need to be balanced with fun! A madcap 4-day weekend someplace exotic is just what you need–do yourself a favor and make it happen.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22) You’re wise, creative, intelligent, intuitive and talkative. This very powerful and potentially volatile combination must be handled carefully for the next few weeks. In all of your interactions–keep in mind the importance of balancing tact along with your natural sense of honesty.

TO PARAPHRASE Shakespeare, “All the world’s a stage and we are but players on it.” In so many ways, life today seems like a play within a play. Even though we’ve played the same part for years, the Universe’s playwright is giving our characters different motivations as it hands us new directions and dialogue every day. This won’t go on forever, but it is going on now, so we’ll need to resist the temptation to balk at the changes and surrender to the vision of Divine Guidance. As we do so, we’ll come to understand our place in the vision and the value of the benefits we derive from it. This month’s forecasts, sign by sign:

ARIES (March 21-April 20) The moment is at hand! Uranus, the planet that rules unpredictable and sudden changes has just entered your sign. Since Aries governs action, conflict, mastery, new discoveries, headaches and strategic brilliance, your great opportunities (and challenges) will lie in knowing how to use the skillful art of discernment. Hint: emotional reactions– “nay”; thoughtful responses–“yea”.

TAURUS (April 21-May 20) Did you know that the sign, TAURUS, governs all banks, including the humanity’s memory banks? THE “MAY FLOWERS” THAT we’ve been waiting for are sprouting. All four of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) are in competitive relationship to one another. The intense changes and occurrences that we’re experiencing and witnessing in every aspect of our lives is an accurate reflection of the current interaction of the planetary bodies. This interaction is meant to bring about necessary changes. The greatest power we have now is the one of choice. If we flow along with the energy of the planetary changes, we can harness its power and use it to help bring our aspirations to successful fruition. If we resist the flow of planetary energy, we’ll have a very difficult time and our aspirations will manifest as bitter disappointments.

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS is an old, down-to-earth aphorism and it’s very apropos for us at this time. We’re on the cusp of something new and exciting. We’re not quite sure what it is yet, but we can feel it coming. Trying to figure out what it is a futile exercise. Our instructions are simple: “Stop looking for the answer, just live in the question.” This month will be best used to check in with ourselves and make sure we’re on the right path to the manifestation of our May flowers. The sign-by-sign readings follow:

ARIES (March 21-April 20) Like the beautiful wildflowers of Spring, you’re awakening to life in a new way. Be gentle with yourself as you patiently acclimate to this new surge of energy and awareness in a positive manner. As you prepare for this new way of being, listen to your inner voice and focus your energy on what your heart tells you to pay attention to.

TAURUS (April 21-May 20) Your insights are very profound at this time. Pay attention to what they reveal to you as they point the way to accessing your inner truth in an empowering and enriching manner. AQUARIUS (January 20-February 19) Are you properly using your energy or is it improperly using you? BETWEEN THE NEW MOON on the 15th (the “Ides of March”), the Vernal Equinox (Spring) on the 20th, and the Full Moon on the 30th, this is one intense beginning of Nature’s 2010 New Year cycle. We’re being given the opportunity to practice trust and exercise faith as the Sun moves into the sign of exploration and discovery–Aries. From this point onward life will present itself as “spontaneously creative,” meaning: “Hang onto your hats–it’s going to be some ride!”

Across the board, there will be dramatic changes this year. If you have an idea or passion for something or someplace new and different, this is the year to go for it. We’ll all do well to keep this in mind:

ARIES (March 21-April 20) It’s your “lift-off” time–Spring. The introduction to this month’s forecast especially applies to you. This is a time of subtle challenges and major changes for you. Like a child, your awareness of these challenges and changes is more advanced than your ability to clearly articulate them. “Listen between the lines” and pay careful attention to your inner voice.

TAURUS (April 21-May 20) The Universe is encouraging you to express your unique individuality in a positive, creative manner. Perception, like creativity and beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. It’s very important that you get, accept and embrace what is beautiful to you. Remember, a fellow named Picasso decided to forego the approval of others and he didn’t do too badly.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20) Cause and effect are almost instantaneous now. Be aware of the power of communication–it really is wisest to think before you speak, that way you’ll avoid learning by painful experience. You’re very sensitive at this time–look inward and re-assess your personal relationship with yourself. It’s much stronger and more beautiful than you think.

CANCER (June 21-July 20) An adventure has you in its sights and will be presenting itself soon. The experience is mandatory–where and how it happens is up to you. LEO (July 21-August 22) Focus on your goals this month. Pay attention–it’s important that your energies are properly directed.
