In which you can see Catherine Deneuve and her real-life sister playing twins who wear matching outfits throughout the film. This is one of my favorite sister movies, as well as one of my favorite sisters-who-match looks.

We do have a particular fondess for redheads here at TSP (see http://thesisteproject.com/roch for more on that) Marion actually wrote a book called ‘Roots of Desire’ all about red hair And she happens to be a redhead, herself.

I’m gonna use the term compelling strangers in casual conversation today.

As for the redheads, that’s easy: They photograph so well and make such lovely subjects. With help from the 1940′s Texas sun, my mother was particularly freckle-faced.

Welcome Laurie! Funny, because one of my high school friends recently told me a similar story. She says that her mom and her mom’s sister always show up wearing nearly identical outfits, no matter what the occasion! I’m guessing your hypothesis is correct–once identical dressers, always identical dressers.
