OUR FAVORITE PETITE FRENCHIE, Capucine, turned 5 last week and her mama made this tribute video for her. Isn’t it adorable? And I love that she chose the music from Amelie to go along. Bon Anniversaire Capucine! Also: Did you see her brother dressed as a clown in the first photo? How silly.

If I Were the Stork: Animal Stories!

THANK GOODNESS CAPUCINE NEVER STOPS being cute. She’s at the storytelling again (I posted her original animal tale back in November 2008), and I can see her recounting skills have advanced–so much dialogue in this one! She’s a budding writer for sure. And she’s got some interesting near-yoga moves there in the middle. To quote Madmoiselle Capucine, herself, “Wow!” ( 1:35)

Update: as of 5/09 this video is no longer private. Woo hoo!

Si J’etais la Cigogne: Partie Trois

FOR THOSE OF YOU who are craving some Capucine, here’s another video installment. Apparently, in the video above, Capucine is a little jealous that her brother lost a tooth, but she hasn’t. (Un petit recap of our Capucine story: after seeing a video of her recounting a tale about all kinds of magic and animals, I chose her as my very first ‘If I Were the Stork’ pick. Then, a few weeks ago, I featured a second video of Capucine talking about raising money to help school-children in Mongolia. She’s quite the star on Vimeo (her video archive here), and she’s a regular feature on her mother’s Tumblr site, Tralalère)

Si J’étais la Cigogne: Reprise

A WHILE BACK, I posted a video from Vimeo of Capucine telling a story about animals on an adventure. It was a big hit, so here’s some more cute Capucine overload. Not surprisingly, everyone loves her–that’s why she’s working to raise money for kids in Mongolia. You can learn more about her Edurelief efforts here. Now that’s some good sisterly behavior.

Si J’étais la Cigogne (If I Were the Stork…)

by Anastasia on November 30, 2008

If only I had been given a little French sister with a propensity for outrageous storytelling. I think we would have gotten on well together.
