I do not have a scanned copy of my Halloween as the ‘The Purple Pie Man,’ but I wish I did now. In childhood, I collected two series of dolls: Strawberry Shortcake and He-man. I had every one of each collection. Thanks for not stifling me, Mom.

I’m thinking of throwing a Halloween party where people come dressed in a sequel of their best childhood costume. Mine would have to be my 8 year old warped interpretation of a Hollywood movie star. I’d want T to come as Black Spiderman. And you as Purple Pie Man, of course!
