I DON’T KNOW ABOUT you, but I happen to love Swedes. Behold Swedish singer/songwriter Jens Lekman, performing The Opposite of Hallelujah off of his (somewhat) recent album Night Falls Over Kortedala. I love how this song is a sort of self-effacing lament of a brother who cannot express how he feels to his sister. I find all of it–lyrics, voice, guitar, Jens, and the funny TV hosts–to be quite adorable. And speaking of adorable, Jens Lekman and this sister song were brought to my attention by my dear friend (and brother in many ways) Andy, who is quite the proliferator of good music.

Ha – Andy gave me that song, too, on a birthday mix cd. How funny!
haha, that is funny, Danielle.
I particularly liked the host and I think the song might already be stuck in my head, so that certainly says something for Mr. Lekman.
Doesn’t it give you flashbacks, Kate, to one frigid afternoon spent in Sweden?
Keep the Sister Jams coming!
