I've read this post twice now, and both times had the same gut-jerking reaction. Even though this story does not speak to a particular experience I've had or closely witnessed, I can appreciate its raw honesty: your writing enables me to think about issues that escape my regular thoughts while simultaneously avoiding cliches. Quite impressive indeed.
