T ODAY WE SALUTE Eartha Kitt on her birthday with one of her early hits (and my favorite) C’est Si Bon. In life, Eartha’s titles were many: singer, actress, cabaret wonder, and even “the most exciting woman in the world” (or so said Orson Wells). She survived a harrowing childhood, and grew to be a star. Today she would be 82. Happy Birthday, Eartha. Sing it, sister.

Her voice sounds very familiar but I can’t remember ever seeing a clip of Eartha Kitt or hearing her name. Great song!
Ironic that her first hit was Santa Baby, and she died on Christmas.
