Sheilaa’s September Horoscopes

I AM FINDING IT DIFFICULT to believe that September is already here, but it is, and with the month comes another Mercury retrograde, from Sept. 5 to Sept. 28. All are affected, but Mercury’s movement is of particular interest to certain signs, such as Gemini and Virgo. Here are the September messages for each of us:

ARIES (March 21 – April 20) Elements of your past are coming back into your life–not to haunt you–but to give you an opportunity to see how much you’ve grown and how far you’ve come. The details are important, so please give them the attention and respect that they are due.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 20) In keeping with last month’s advice, it’s best if you continue to be in a patience mode. Yes, that means it’s still to your advantage to wait–to wait productively, that is. Use this time to prepare yourself for the new circumstances and people who will be entering your life.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20) For the next few weeks, the planet that rules communication–Mercury–will be retrograde. When Mercury is retrograde, it’s a good time to contemplate, investigate and/or analyze. It is not a good time to sign papers, buy houses or cars or make binding decisions. Since Mercury is your ruling planet, this goes double for you.  Your mantra is, “This too, shall pass.”

CANCER (June 21 – July 20) Sometimes we want something so much, we blind ourselves to the obvious truth that’s right in front of us. Emotional clarity will help you to see what’s what, especially now. As difficult as it may be for you, fight the impulse to focus on the “gray” areas and concentrate on the “black and white” of your circumstances.

LEO (July 21 – August 22) “To err is human; to forgive is Divine.”  “Let bygones be by-gones.”  We’ve all made mistakes–it’s part of the human experience. Let go of the past and practice unconditional love by forgiving yourself for your “learning curve” mistakes.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22) Mercury is your ruling planet, too, so please pay heed–your message is the same as GEMINI with this additional message: Mercury rules the body’s nervous system, so it’s very important that you get rid of any accumulated tension by getting a couple of soothing massages.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22) Before you devote your time and energy to achieving perfect balance, ask yourself what “perfect” really means to you. Your tendency to believe what others believe is valid is not helpful to you. Trust that your natural, internal sense of perfection is the one you should focus on.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21) Did you ever hear this one, “Some days are dog days and some days are fire hydrant days”? Or this one: “If life hands you lemons–make lemonade”?  Make these interesting and intense times work for you–market and sell that lemonade. You’ll discover that there are plenty of buyers.

SAGITARRIUS (November 22 – December 21) Belief systems are interesting.  They can subtly take control of your whole life and dictate how you should think, feel and act. Examine your belief system and determine whether it is serving you or you are serving it. An open-minded approach to life will net you a more profitable (and happy) series of results.

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19) Did you know that meditation is an important and rewarding form of travel? As it expands your inner horizons, it helps you to attain these invaluable gifts–a conscious connection to the Divine and peace of mind.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 19) Your message this month is similar to CAPRICORN’S. The inner journey will yield the most remarkable rewards—you’ll be offered a long hoped for opportunity. Just be willing to play “outside of the box” in order to make the most of it and you’ll reap a terrific reward.

PISCES (February 20 – March 20) Normally, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Not this time, though. Important events will have to take their own course and the next couple of months will require you to have lots of faith.  Things really are changing for the better and they’ll turn out just the way you wanted.
