BETWEEN THE NEW MOON on the 15th (the “Ides of March”), the Vernal Equinox (Spring) on the 20th, and the Full Moon on the 30th, this is one intense beginning of Nature’s 2010 New Year cycle. We’re being given the opportunity to practice trust and exercise faith as the Sun moves into the sign of exploration and discovery–Aries. From this point onward life will present itself as “spontaneously creative,” meaning: “Hang onto your hats–it’s going to be some ride!”
Across the board, there will be dramatic changes this year. If you have an idea or passion for something or someplace new and different, this is the year to go for it. We’ll all do well to keep this in mind:
“Sometimes the only transportation available is a leap of faith.”–Margaret Shepard.
Now, the forecasts by sign:
ARIES (March 21-April 20) It’s your “lift-off” time–Spring. The introduction to this month’s forecast especially applies to you. This is a time of subtle challenges and major changes for you. Like a child, your awareness of these challenges and changes is more advanced than your ability to clearly articulate them. “Listen between the lines” and pay careful attention to your inner voice.
TAURUS (April 21-May 20) The Universe is encouraging you to express your unique individuality in a positive, creative manner. Perception, like creativity and beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. It’s very important that you get, accept and embrace what is beautiful to you. Remember, a fellow named Picasso decided to forego the approval of others and he didn’t do too badly.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20) Cause and effect are almost instantaneous now. Be aware of the power of communication–it really is wisest to think before you speak, that way you’ll avoid learning by painful experience. You’re very sensitive at this time–look inward and re-assess your personal relationship with yourself. It’s much stronger and more beautiful than you think.
CANCER (June 21-July 20) An adventure has you in its sights and will be presenting itself soon. The experience is mandatory–where and how it happens is up to you. Get out an atlas and some travel magazines and use your imagination as you learn about exotic lands and the people who live in them. Be open to what you learn on this adventure–it’ll help you make your dreams come true.
LEO (July 21-August 22) Focus on your goals this month. Pay attention–it’s important that your energies are properly directed. Participating in structured activities such as yoga, Pilates or movement classes is an excellent way for you to realign and redirect your excess energy in a beneficial manner. After March 10th, the obstacles you’ve encountered will begin to scatter.
VIRGO (August 23-September 22) The theme for you this month is responsibility, power and discernment. Your experiences will relate to who you are and what your personal truth is. How you handle your relationships with the people and situations you encounter is the key. Following the crowd is not to your advantage during this period of important inner changes.
LIBRA (September 23-October 22) Remember playing on the seesaw when you were in grammar school? It was all about awareness and balance. Which are what you’ll need as you embrace your true gift–learning and practicing a new way of appreciating yourself. Sometimes what is really correct in a situation can only be determined by establishing a new inner “truth meter.”
SCORPIO (October 23-November 21) Intense and secretive, you’ll benefit from lightening up and going with the flow. Otherwise, you’re likely to become overly emotional and there may be a tendency to try and force situations. The most positive way to get things to go your way is to simply ask–people really do want to help you get what you want.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22-December 21) This is a potentially lucky period for you and your magnetism is at an all-time high. Be observant and you’ll spot the opportunities available to you, as well as develop the discipline and habits you’ll need in order to help make your hopes, wishes and dreams come true.
CAPRICORN (December 22-January 19) Maturity, discipline and responsibility came early for you as a child. Self-esteem, self-value and self-confidence are still playing catch up. It’s time to shed those old “skins” and admit to yourself what everyone else is already aware of–how important and powerful you are in your world.
AQUARIUS (January 20-February 19) Different, unusual and strange are words that can and have been used to describe you. Unique, inventive and creative can also be used. The difference is the emphasis you place on them. Remember–God didn’t make any mistakes–being different doesn’t make you defective. Some of the brightest and most successful people in our world are deep thinkers who rarely started out as part of the “in crowd.”
PISCES (February 20-March 20) These last few years have been, well, interesting. You’ve grown a tougher skin and your natural sensitivity and vulnerability to the whims and wishes of others isn’t as exposed as it used to be. The other good news is you can breathe a sigh of relief now–the planet that was causing all of that upheaval will be leaving your sign in a few weeks.

Sheilaa,
I so enjoy to read what you have in store for me each month. Every time amazed how on the mark you are.
Sheilaa, I cannot believe what you wrote about Pisces for this year. Amazingly close to what happened to me. I’ll be back. Love to you.
Welcome, Pat. Isn’t she amazing? I have known Sheilaa for (yikes) more than a decade (maybe much more; in denial) and she is uncanny. Nice to meet you; see you soon again.
