Writing the Book(s) on Sisterhood

by marionroach on March 2, 2010

I’M SO GRATEFUL for She Writes, the online community where women writers converge and discuss, share, encourage and generally provoke one another into thinking about these writing careers of ours. The site has done wonders for me, including introducing me to writers whose work I already admired. One of these is writer Meg Waite Clayton, whom we currently feature in our TSP Galleries. Why? Listen to how she describes her topic of choice for her three novels:

“The emotional turf I seem to go back to again and again is sisterhood in the friendship sense,” says Meg, author of the national bestseller The Wednesday Sisters.

Our kind of sister, wouldn’t you say? Read on in our galleries. And enjoy.

Sister Paige recently posted about how she networks her way through winter. Me? In all seasons, I talk to other writers. Interested in doing so?

Check out She Writes, a leading online destination for women writers. The brainchild of founder Kamy Wicoff, She Writes was formed in 2009, and has since signed on thousands of women writers representing more than 30 countries and all 50 states. Everyone I’ve met has been exceedingly helpful and absolutely willing to share her knowledge. Perhaps what’s best about She Writes is that it provides a venue for writers to create networks and get the services and support they need to make every stage of their writing lives easier. Like I do, She Writes believes when women write and publish, they have the power to change the world.

You can visit my page on She Writes here.

And write on.
