Sister Flicks: ‘Water’

YouTube Preview ImageI HAD NO IDEA it was about sisterhood when I ordered it from Netflix. In fact, by the time the DVD arrived, I had no idea why I had ordered this movie with the one-word title, Water. Looking at the sleeve in which it was sent I saw that it said in Hindi, with subtitles. Subtitles? Oy ve, says me. That means no knitting. So I put off the film for days. What a fool I am. What is it is the fact that shown to me, my husband and our daughter, the three of us had utterly different takes on what the film is about, and yet all of us loved it as much as we’ve loved anything we’ve seen together.
