Me and my red-headed sister and then my red-headed brother, with all other colors in between. Red hair apparently skips two generations, unless EVERYONE has red hair, and then you can’t tell. Our great grandfather had red hair and the story goes we inherited it from him. But we don’t have huge mustaches. My sister’s hair is wild and curly, mine is ornery and straight. Both of us had bright red hair which sadly fades with time…not to gray, but to a sandy kind of nothing color. I wanted it back! So thanks to the bottle (not the alcoholic kind) I have it backed, better streaked with blonde than I ever achieved with lemon juice in the summer sun.

Hey, Sandy: I loved Midge. In our version of the Barbie-Midge morality tale, she was the racy one, though of course she would be, being the redhead, yes?

I had a blonde Barbie and a redhead Midge. I remember concocting elaborate plots involving the two of them and their (usually) difficult love lives. You’ve got me all nostalgic now.
