Got Sisters? You’ve Got it Made

SISTERS ARE GOOD. More to the point, it has now been reaffirmed that sisters are good for you. Yup, you read it here first, and we’ve got the science to prove it. Want some sister stats to brighten up your day? Read on.

According to a new study by Brigham Young University, while siblings are good for you, sisters are the more therapeutic sibling to have in your life. And though here at TSP we already knew that, we sure do love having the science continue to support our feelings.

For instance, did you know that sisters help one another avoid negative emotions? How’s that for a boost, sister? There is that, and so much more, from the recent BYU Flourishing Families Project study. And we have it all here for you to read and enjoy.

You might not know this, but since its inception, TSP has run collected sibling science pieces. You can find them all here.

We also have a section called Sisterpedia, devoted to a bevy of historic sisters.

And sisters stories that have caught out collective eye. Know another on? We’re all ears. Send it along, and we’ll publish it and give you the credit you deserve.

We just love our sister stats–almost as much as we love our sisters. (And we love the Brox sisters, top, from the Library of Congress archives.)
