ANNA QUINDLEN IS STEPPING ASIDE. Or so she told us recently in her last column in Newsweek. Oh, Anna, we love you. We do, ever since you bought a too-big-for-your-fridge turkey to feed your in-laws, and had to leave it on your fire escape overnight, and wrote about it years and years ago, telling millions, we knew you were our kind of sister. We admit it, Anna: You are us, and we are you, and while you will write novels and continue to publish, we’ll miss you in the pages of Newsweek. Thank you, sister. We’ve read every word, and we’ll be waiting by the bookshop door.
