Truly! Wear lipstick! For decades of mornings, I've looked at myself in the mirror and said to myself, "Thank Goodness, there is something I can do about this!" To lipstick, I'd add: "and a little mascara."

Dear Ana: Welcome to TSP, where comments like yours make our collective hearts just sing. If you love the blog, please do tell your friends to read it, as well. And do let us know what else you discover along the way in your TSP reading. For instance, don't miss Sisterpedia, where we are constantly compiling sister facts. Please come back soon, and do consider bringing along your own sisterhood.

Good morning!

What a wonderful post this is. I have shared it with my daughters, with the women at work, and I have printed it out and put by my desk to remind me in uncertain situations to stop and think before proceeding.

I love your sister project. I have only recently discovered it and so I bounce from one blog to the next. Soon I will have it all straightened out and will be able to follow you all more calmly. In the meantime, here I go to discover another little gem.

Felicidades!

I love these rules! I've only just rediscovered the value of #1 at a relatively advanced age - red shoes certainly do rock!!

I had to check out what Cliff notes are as I'm in the UK - I would agree most of the time but think that sometimes taking a short cut makes sense!

Love the Sister Project - such an ace idea!

O.K. I wasn't gonna mention #14, but as others have here goes...There is a dirty little secret about quitting. Insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result. Call it quitting or defining a new path, but whatever you call it, sometimes it is a healthy choice. Oh and LOVE the stick a fork in it. it's done. advice about dissertations...I always say, time to put the baby to bed. Don't know why, don't have no kids!

Great list Marion, but I think #6 might be a bit confusing. I wouldn't put "if you fear it try it" in the same rule as sexual contact. I always decided BEFORE a date how far I was willing to go THAT night and kept to it. Even college boys will respect a girl who is firm and tells it like it is. If you can't TALK about sexual activity with your date/boyfriend then you aren't ready to ACT.

Hello, Eden, and welcome to TSP, where we try (kind of) to live by the rules. So glad you found us, and that you love that rule number 15. Oh yeah. Send us some of your own. We'd love to read you here again.

I love these rules and there is one that I will always follow: #15 that one speaks loud and true to me not that I won't follow the other rules but this one I will never let go!
