My New Year’s Revolution

That’s the other name that the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence use for their headpieces, or wimples, worn along with traditional and often non-traditional habits, riotous makeup and a spirit of boisterous and good-humored community service. ce3W E LOVE IT WHEN readers, unprompted, send emails or leave comments about the ways they’re celebrating sisterhood, of any stripe, in their own lives. The communication we got from reader Laela last week was particularly exciting, as it combined three things we absolutely love: cinema, sisterhood, and doing something for women in need.
