ONE OF THE best (of many) great moments during today’s inaugural festivities was Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s remark, at the luncheon, that the recipes for the meal were the most-clicked link on the inaugural homepage. Naturally, I had to go find them, which took some doing. Thanks to the (awesome) site LifeHacker. I finally tracked down the link. The recipes look great–and I may just try a couple–but tonight, I’m busy enjoying the treats that Gillian Clark, TSP’s favorite DC chef created: her versions of pineapple upside down cake, and of blondies and brownies. Is there any better way to celebrate our new, multi-ethnic, multi-regional President than this totally American, totally diverse menu of desserts? I don’t think so.
