HOW CAN IT be that for years now, I’ve been missing out on the Scissor Sisters?
These flamboyant disco überdivas, four men and one redheaded bombshell, Ana Matronic, make the perfect, can’t stop dancing, slightly ridiculous sound I need to feed my soul and move my feet now that summer is (sadly!) careening to a close.
Some might find them outrageous, I suppose: the band take its name from a sexual position (yes, one involving two women) and the cover of their latest album is a Robert Mapplethorpe image of a man’s behind. But me? I’m putting them on my soundtrack, stat, and I suggest you do the same.
