YOU MAY remember (back in the infant days of The Sister Project) a little series called “Sister Jams (Not Jellies),” in which our little sister Anastasia highlighted all kinds of sibling bands and otherwise sisterly songs. THANKS TO MARION, TSP’S PAIGE IS facing a challenge this week: to put together her own personal playlist, a measuring out of her life in coffeehouse tunes, if you will. STOP FORWARDING HER EMAILS composed by some anonymous person about how much women love their sisters-friends, Marion says. If you want to tell a sister you love her, fill her heart with song. WE WERE ALERTED TO THE FACT OF MARIE OSMOND’S 50th birthday today by the day of sister-themed tunes being played on our favorite radio station, WFUV, a public radio station we stream from Fordham University in the Bronx. Nobody knows more about being a sister than Marie, sister to eight brothers. In her honor we’re playing to her last tune to make the charts, in 1995, What Kind of Man (Walks on a Woman), a song about sister-friends and the man one of them loves. What kind of man indeed? Watch out, Buster, not on our sister-friend you don’t!
