IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING, but Spring has finally sprung (or so they tell me). Along with Spring this year, comes our old friend, Mercury Retrograde. This planetary phenomenon began its current passage on March 30th and will end on April 23rd. Mercury rules communication, commerce, contracts, agreements and plans, among other things. When it goes retrograde, much of our communication and commerce, as well as many of our contracts, agreements and plans go “south”. During Mercury’s retrograde motion, it’s best not to buy any big ticket items like cars or houses and it’s a very good idea to triple check any and all plans you make. This is an excellent time for introspection and research, as those things that are usually hidden from view, show themselves more easily during a Mercury Retrograde period. ON MARCH 11, THE PLANET that creates unavoidable, unpredictable, necessary change—Uranus–enters the sign Aries for a long stay. Uranus is the great “breaker of outmoded forms”—it destroys what is no longer useful or in alignment with our true path so that we—Aries and the other 11 signs–can move beyond our limitations and live our dreams. MERCURY, THE PLANET THAT RULES PLANS, ideas, communications and roadways is retrograde until September 12. Whenever Mercury is retrograde, we all get a chance for “do overs,” whether we want them or not. Delays, cancellations and misconceptions run rampant during this time. Buying big, expensive or motorized items, such as houses, cars, computers or tools, is not a good idea. Try to avoid having medical procedures and signing contracts, too. It isn’t all bad news, though. Rethinking, researching and re-evaluating on both the inner and outer levels are a great way to use this time. Whatever sister means to you, from identical twin to sister-in-law (or in-friendship or in-feminism), we’ll make room to listen in about it or express it on TSP. Like the slogan up top says, “Don’t you have something to say to your sister?” We've got galleries of art and literature by and about sisters, and a Sisterpedia of sisterly trivia...but now we're getting ahead of ourselves. As the suffix of its name suggests, TSP's Sisterpedia
is the reference section, one we’re hoping you’ll help us grow to maturity by adding your knowledge in the comments.
